Ohhhh... Ate too much... Had the pork on the spit for 4 hours, then left another hour to rest - melt in your mouth..... Lots of other yummy stuff including a stack of Eans prawns. There are a lot of happy and contented people here now, all ready for an afternoon kip...

Tried a variation on a theme this year. Put the turkey on a can of pear cider for three hours in the oven - yum

Made breakfast for 15, prepped 4 salads, sliced 8kg of ham, cleaned and filleted 4 whole snapper (for 5kg of fillets) for cevice, rolled and sliced 10kg of eye fillet for BBQ, made 5L of mango coconut pudding. All between 1000 and 1600.

Now time for a sit down.

We are working today flying people around in and out of the mines. When we get back to our camp I believe there will be christmas dinner with all the trimmings this evening.
While the pilots are out flying I am catching up on the stores paperwork until they get back for beer-o-clock at 1730h.

Well, I've kind of had an afternoon nap,, funny how a good feed makes you want to sleep,, too bad it was a bit warm for a decent kip.

As always, she's prepped an awesome feed of lamb and pork roasts with the usual nesessities, and then after first sleep,, yummy trifle,, next sleep,, then coffees,, is it any wonder I can't lose weight?? What a life we lead.

    Have a good one everybody.

Yep, a bellyful, along with a couple of glasses of wine, a brandy laced dessert and a chocolate port to finish it all off, and I crashed out on the couch! And it was too hot for a normal coffee when I woke up, so made myself and daughter no.1 an iced coffee. Yum!

To be fair, it wasn't just the food making me sleepy, but the 4 hours of cooking helped. Traditional roast turkey, with a lovely roast ham done on the barbie. Still feel like a right fat pig this morning!

The kind Chef and his kitchen staff put on a gourmet seafood banquet at the mine for me and the team

Seafood and Red wine..... And not a plate to wash up in sight
