The modern high speed jobbies are said to have an effect on the quality of the juice due to static electricity.
I am no expert but did some study on it years ago and this is the conclusion that I arrived at

Yep, SIL has her mothers old one ATM (as hubby was very ill with Crohn's) and it's still going great, at a guess it's well over 30 years old.

I'd love a screw type like the Champion, but we have a Breville like JC's and it's been very good

My goodness it must be genetic, then!

That last post of yours about crosstown ride on mowers and emergency department visits seems like a 'chip off the old block' !

Hope the young'n is doing well now?

Hi, champion/green power or Oscar, expensive but the best. Remember slow juice is the best juice...I.e high speed juicers cause heat, and heat damages the enzymes in the juice. A test is juice and apple with a high speed and it will start going brown quickly " oxidising "
Use a green power or the like, and it will last hrs before it colours..the idea of juice over the whole fruit is pretty much direct absorbstion, little digestion which makes it ideal for people that are ill or as in my reason for juicing, parents that died of cancer ...the juice helps a lot ..I spent hrs and hrs researching for my folks so if I can help more just ask ...Gary
