I am on hols at the moment as well, got a call last Thursday about a breakdown at work. 40hrs later at double time jobs done. Got another week off but anything could happen in the world of Aluminium smelters. Now im suckin on a Darwin stubby!!!

Yay for super Andy, keeping our roads safe, ;-). Job well done, you weren't alone, we had a fire call 02.00 hrs Christmas morning, a western red cedar stand alone granny flat went up. Luckily the occupies where in the main house, I had a good crew turn up, plus backed up from Albany perms, too far gone to save but saved exposures..couldn't get back to sleep as sun was rising by the time we'd finished, so long Christmas Day, as I'm sure your was also....Gary

The service foreman at a heavy equipment distributor I once worked for would never answer his home 'phone. His wife or daughter answered all calls and told callers that he would be in the office such and such a time/date. He only responded if one of the hierarchy 'phoned and identified themselves to the sentries.

Another RUDE interuption yesterday.
Our local arsonist struck again.
Spent 4 hours yesterday arvo/early evening chasing 2 big front end loaders thru the scrub in the grader cutting firebreaks.
luckily the weather was much cooler than it has been.
With the machinery cutting breaks and many farmers fire units we got it under control before dark.They would have been out there all nite back burning unburnt pockets and watching for escapes.
WHY do low lifes do this ****????
