I've only ever made one New Year resolution that I've kept and that was New Years eve 1988. Have never made another

Good luck with your diet and especially the exercise Tony, but a bloke of your age should be able to walk 10 k's easily. When at work (Ayers Rock 2 weeks on 2 off) I walk to work most days, which, depending on my route is 9 or 10 k's. So 80 or 90 minutes walking and I'll be 60 in a couple of months.

Ah dag nam it I was out there not long ago I could have maybe put a face to the name.
I ordered a pedometer so I can see how many steps/calories I burn off without exercise

Numpty I started off running 1.6km and walking 1.6km and every day I add an extra 800m running and walking.
So yesterday I ran 4km and walked 4km unfortunately I am working afternoon/night today and tomorrow and I do not get up early so work will have to be my exercise.
I was a bit naughty last night and had a not so healthy dinner so I put on a about 300g but not to worry I realise some days I will not lose weight and some I might put on a few but the main thing is that in general I am losing weight.
New year resolutions are silly because people normally quit within the first month and then they either feel the failure or they think they did succeed when they did not and still tend to gloat about it.
After saying that I hope I wont be one of those people.

Well, stop walking that much and you'll manage to stave of getting to 60 for much longer!

My New Years resolution was to not make a New Years resolution, I guess it was a flawed plan.....
