    But also be aware that some things charge at 1A and others charge at 500Ma A "the Management" found out when a couple of her USB adaptors were getting hot, both had outputs of 5V but one item only required 500Ma but was pluged into a 1A USB adaptor which got hot trying to compensate,once items were matched to their required charging rates, problem solved

    I just ordered some of these
    sockITz.com.au USB charging enabled double powerpoint

    I think its a pretty neat solution and the usb charging part uses no power unless a usb lead is plugged in

    I saw the american version of these a while back when they first came out - wasn't sure if they made them in Australian standard though. Good to know

    hmm, I would love the same thing with 2a and 1a rated usb slots for in car use...

    between the phones, cameras and tablets its a right pain int proverbial.
