I have good evidence you can certainly cook a td5, wallet a fair bit lighter too. When it happened, temp gauge normal, nanacom reading93 degrees, low water alarm operatioal but never alarmed.

This is why I always carry a spare for every hose and belt. Also, I once cut through a brand-new Genuine radiator hose to fit a TEFBA filter and found a little gouge on the inside of it! So it goes to show that even new parts can be dodgy, so I carry spares even when I've replaced something.

My nearest friend who is also a hilux driver lived in Gladstone and i had bought him dinner and drinks a few days earlier when i stayed at his place, I rang him and asked if he could pick me and the bike up[he was on his days off] to be told he wouldn't drive that far for anybody, needless to say he is no longer a mate.

Who needs enemies when you have friends like him.

friends like him! he couldnt understand what my problem with him was after that-some people just dont get it[come to think of it though his whole family was a bit strange!], other friends offered to drive up from Brisbane with there van for the bike....
