    NSW Statewide total fire ban

Statewide total fire ban for NSW commencing midnight tonight,
will most likely continue through Saturday as well

Not sure if all National Park will be closed like they were on Tuesday.
Wouldn't recommend heading into the bush over the weekend.

Gee I wish QLD would do the same. People are still asking for permits not happening in my area though

permits in NSW are suspended when the forecast fire danger reaches very high.

You know its hot when you're standing outside hosing down your solar panels to make them work better. It's 39.5 degrees in the shade of our carport at the moment here in Brissie, so would be much hotter up on the roof. Solar panels are most efficient at about 26 degrees we were told when they were installed, and advised to hose them down when they got too hot.
Of course, many places are much hotter than that - I see it was 45 in Roma the other day, so I'm not whinging, but I am glad my solar panels are making the power to cover me running our air con in this hot weather.

    It's been bloody hot everywhere

I cannot remember the last time we didn't have a total fire ban - they never lift it, even during winter.

Or at least, if they do, they never tell anybody

    I hope everybody stays safe.
