Aint it great![]()
Well, I've been in SA for about 4 years now and have constantly and bitterly complained about the lack of work and the low salaries etc etc etc. Having bought a Land Rover 3 weeks back, the state is now transformed for me. About an hour from the city and I'm driving along a beautiful beach (with one or two off road "detours" along the way) to the Murray Mouth for a fish. There are peninsulas to explore, dunes, deserts, the flinders ranges...all of a sudden the state looks like somewhere I want to be. Off to the car port to gaze at her...
We hit Goolwa beach today - perfect weather, perfect conditions (not many fish, but hey!)
Just 2c from a newly minted owner who is beginning to love SA.

I hate to mention a political theme here, but look at all the other states that have benefited from Labor rule ... oh, that's right, there aren't any.
Great to see another convert enjoying the spoils of his labour. Australia is an amaizing land and luckily for the rest of us, most Aussies don't go that far for their holidays!
Cheers
Come to sunny WA, pristine beaches, unvisited fishing spots (certain forum members know them all...) lots of work so I'm told....with expensive houses and even more expen$ive rentals.- But you probably won't get one so it does'nt matter anyway.
And our Liberal goverment is less honest but more competant than the Labor variety...![]()
... That goes without saying...
Betcha he can't afford it ! (without being rude) - Even the locals are finding it difficult.
Those who can, sell and buy mansions in Tasmania![]()
Have just read an article in a magazine [ of course, I can't find it now that I need it] about Lobster catching on the Sth Aussie coast, down towards Vic., I think, where the general public can pay a fee of $ 61, for the right to use 2 lobster pots for 3 months. Apparently there are a number of caravan parks in the area, all you need is a small roof top tinnie. You can pay a larger fee for 12 months. How good would that be! Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
