What is the benefit in doing both?
The Bolivian parliament are passing a law were rapist/murderers will be chemically castrated and face 30 years in jail.
I just wonder if our parliamentarians have the political will to introduce a law like this?
I would include in the same law child sex molesters as well............
What is the benefit in doing both?
Not sure.
Also, implications for vexatious claims that subsequently shown to be false.
Cheers

Well we know very well about the implications of the parole officers, the bastards can be free after few years and do it again.
I personally not give a dam about the criminal, I care about the victims.
Regarding "implications for vexatious claims that subsequently shown to be false" I think that in these cases it have to be prove beyond doubt.
Do you know haw many cases are here and OS of victims of domestic violence which have been murdered even when they been under protection by court order?
If in doubt IMO I will protect the victims any time before the criminals.
I could recite case after case of people who are in jail who, while no one could deny that they are criminals as society sees them by definition, their crime is in fact against a greater criminal element.
There's one where the father of a perpetual victim of domestic violence ended up killing the perpetrator, but not before he killed the daughter. The kicker, the family of the husband claimed for victims of crime compensation as he was the victim. The father could not as there was never apparently enough evidence for any prosecution of the husband.
Where do you start there?
DNA testing for everyone would sort out any doubt. Yeah, yeah there are arguments it's not 100% accurate but its high enough
