    Tyre traps

I went for a drive today with the missus and daughter and the daughter needed to pee so pulled off wilshire rd at Londonderry and heard a tyre pop, checked it and its done proper, look back at the track and see the culprit a pointy bit of steel poking out the ground dust think much of it as there is alot of junk that gets dumped there, then I've gone around to get he young one out and realise the rear tyre is done too!! So I left her in the car went and looked to inspect the culprit and realise there are multiple pointy bits of metal every where!!!! God dam it I've driven into a mine field of tyre traps!! So I pulled out as many as I could see (pictured below)and drove back onto the road and tried ringing Nrma but after 20mins of waiting no answer so just ring a tilt tray and made it home on the back!!!
Got home rang the cops made a report then they came to get the spikes and said did they get 2 or 3 tyres I said 2 they said front passenger was already flat?? I was like WHAT nah mate that's 3 then DAM IT!!! So rather expencive afternoon drive!!!

You should be able to claim on your insurance, as it's vandalism. You have a police report.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

on the plus side, looks like a good start to a set of ground markers and prying tools.

    Re: Tyre traps

A point of curiosity: who does that?! They are obviously deliberate.

Whose property/land/drug lab were they near?

That track leads to the back of the quarry, not sure who owns the land but alot of people ride motobikes out there including me over the years, unfortunately alot of rubbish and stolen cars get dropped and burnt there, but I mean literally I drove 7M down the track!!

You're not alone. SA mountain bikers have this stuff to contend with on public land:

Walkers with kids and dogs use the area too. A jihad on all scumbags.
