Has any one had any luck with Aldi Electrical products?

Most of the food has been good but the wife got some meat last week.

I was being a little facetious. Most of the essentials, milk, cheese, yogurt all the standard stuff is fine, and saves a few pennies compared to the Big 2. They frequently have some German/European stuff in there that I like to get, as it reminds me of when I used to shop at Aldi living in Germany 25 years ago.

The stuff that "your Granny wouldn't recognise" as food I would avoid. The fresh stuff, the meat and veg is good though.

It's been useful for dragging the TV a little closer when you can't quite see what's going on though? :p

It could also drag the TV close enough to actually see if there are any dead pixels too. :D

It appears that even the expensive top name brands are not immune from dead or stuck pixels.

I've had no problems with a set top box, a TV, a DVD player, an 18V drill, or a table saw from Aldi.

Almost, but not quite...:D I have had it out the box and tested it. I unwound the whole drum and used my son to put some tension on it while I re spooled it. It dragged him down the corridor with no issues...

I'm guessing he weighs somewhat less than 9500lb, otherwise I'm sure we'd have seen him on the Biggest Loser by now.

Yeah, just a few pounds less than that. I had a foot on the winch to stop it taking off down the corridor. My leg weighs more than my son, so he lost.:D

Probably haven't tested the winch to its capacity yet...:)

As a matter of interest, what fairlead did it come with?

Just saw an Aldi add on the telly. They're selling mobile phone plans now.

Must say they're fresh food is good.

Some of they're wine is excellent.

i have their 47" plasma telly $790 (BAUHN brand),also the 12.0 megapixle DVD video camera $87AWESome,shaver$20,hair trim set $20,all around 2 years old and not a problem with any of it.the food is as good as C&W including the meat from our local one here at Warrawong 2k's from me.
don't know about returns yet but 2 yrs is most of their guarantee as they say it's the same everywhere keep your docket.
