Yeah Belgium's always good fun when there's a serving wench about ;) The range of Belgian beers available over here is excellent too. We're still waiting for someone in Dan Murphy's to figure out why we buy all this foreign booze every other week.
For cooking, I guess we look forward to the Indian, Italian, Spanish and German GPs the most but I guess that's just our taste in tucker.
It's also a good opportunity to celebrate the different cultures that we have in our society...going to the Asian supermarkets is a wonderful experience.
The secret is to have traditional music from the country in question playing throughout the cooking process. We stream radio stations from the Apple Store and some of them are hilarious.
It's got mileage, this idea. So many traditional recipes. Maybe next year we should try and find a guest from each country to come and cook a course...
