I thought exactly the same thing.
Why would anybody need '6 or 10' of the same Harley Davidson, and then never ride (or start!) any of them?

I wish I had that much money. I wish I had so much money that people would criticise me for making the choices I made because they'll never have enough money to make those kinds of choices.

Reminds me of a past customer who won a considerable amount of cash on the lottery!
Ist problem he didn't tell his wife, he quit his job& didn't tell her, and kept the money stashed way all secret like.

His wife was continually nagging & complaining about the three Unimogs he had in the family garage so everything else was on the driveway. So he quietly bought some some land out of town and moved them to his secret man cave.

Then came toys, lots of 'em like Harleys and Pinzgauers. He became a daily off-roader practicing his dirt driving skills no less. Everyone who knew him was envious.

Then he spiffed up the man cave into a blokes hideaway with theatre cinema seating, bar, booze, girls etc, and added a landing strip plus a Cessna to go with it! Life was good!

Of course it didn't take long before a female fellow playmate turned up and he bought her a 710K Pinzgauer from my lot. I thought at the time this arrangement will explode in his face at sometime soon. And of course it did!
Now she has more than 50% of the loot and has her own playground---and toy boys no doubt!

He did say it had to be built to withstand anything nature could throw at it, it was built to protect millions worth of vehicles.
I'd say we were only shown his collection of daily drivers. Considering how many bikes he had (upstairs) I'm guessing we weren't shown the collection of expensive cars.

I think you got it in one. He is not going to show the world what he has got tucked away so they can target him to get at his cars.
But really nice garage setup though.

    Exactly
Maybe I am coming from a different place, but my first thoughts are what a bloody great waste of money!

As my dear old late cockney Mum would say "er Son yah can take it wivyah when yah goes mate"!

For me I would turn the place into a sanctuary for under privileged kids to enjoy as a holiday retreat from the crap found in inner cities or maybe hand it out as education foundations or some sort of heatlth care charity. Do some good instead of looking at a pile of unused bikes or that behemoth of an RV which we see on the roads in summer up 'n over here. Which by the way you can't easily drive into town and park up!

Anyway I prefer a nice 5 star hotel and all the comforts of a resort maybe like this, with lots of kids running about! Instead of being a quasi bus driver!

As to the pink shirts, yes at times people have some weird dress senses and colour coordination here.

Yesterday it was the Father and Daughter formal dance at the school where my kids go to. Its was black tie annual affair with a $50 entrance fee for school benefits.

The only two blokes wearing a tuxedo apart from myself was a Kiwi bloke from Auckland. We got some snide comments but I said "Allan take no bloody notice we are the blokes with the style mate "! Yeh right On!~
    Enjoy your week

    Nice if you have it

    Hello.

I watched the video and was impressed and all - some folks are pretty successful and reap the fruits. Good luck and all that. Seemed like a nice enough guy to me.

Was also thinking that my own garage below the yurt wasn't too bad, all things considered.

It has a tool box (check), bench (check), fridge occasionally full of nice things (check - unless S3ute junior and his uni mates have passed by recently), boat (check), miscellaneous camping gear (check), a few bikes (check), Wurths calendar (check - Miss March is quite fetching...) and (nearly forgot) a Series 3 Land Rover up on blocks and happily leaking oil all over the place (check, check).

Oh, then upstairs there's Mrs S3 ute for company I suppose (check - unless she's p__sed off at me over some minor transgression - Oh, yep that mysterious parcel from the UK that had "Land Rover parts" on the manifest.......), Ms S3ute (check- unless she's out at a club somewhere), and the cat (check - always a reliable companion).

Not much to envy there I suppose - made my own bed in life and occasionally get to enjoy sleeping in.

    Cheers,

    My take.

As they type of told you the location I am not sure I would be showing the world , via you tube my real collection of fancy cars.

Bad enough he showed the bikes but I have a feeling the real fancy stuff might have not been on display.

One thing for sure, Tom probably does not care what we think of his shirt and or car collection, except for the LR.

Horrible waste of money for sure, but if you got it you can spend it any (Legal) way you want. And who is to say he is not a massive philanthropist supporting lots of good causes all over the place.

Either way is a pretty awesome garage. !

Maybe he is actually a rabid prepper and has some tanks, armoured cars and a massive arms cache to stuff that space with.
Could stock a few years worth of food supplies in their too.
Need a big gennie for the lift though!
