I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Our family where tree fallers from the 1800`s to the 1980`s Unfortunately dad was the last to cut trees. Dad started with a crosscut saw and horses. My uncle was left handed and dad was right handed so where a perefect pair for a cross cut saw. They would have the pit with one under neath ripping logs length ways. Still remember all the saws hanging in the main shed. I still have a right hand broad axe head that dad used for hand cutting pallings and weather boards for houses. Our loacal hall is clad with weather boards that dad cut.

Fantastic, mate, great memories. Did you keep any of the saws, I have seen some great art drawn on old cross cut saws, cheers for the oldtimers, Bob

Thank goodness chainsaws became relatively affordable when I was in my teens. I spent a lot of time on an end of cross cut saws, and some time in sawing pits.
    Amazing, hand making such saws.
