    Myth busters last night

Anyone see Myth Busters last night, with the blown tyre?
Stuffing it with straw, making a sled, using rim only and the round chainsawed wooden tree stump?
The tree stump chainsawed round worked very well if you had the fabrication tools on board to extend wheel studs to fit the stump . The cast iron water drain cover stood up well. Naturally we all carry this stuff on bush trips LOL

Being a fisherman I loved the smoking reel myth, how a fish swam so fast the reel caught fire from friction. Speed needed to get it really smokin' was faster than any fish could ever swim, and still no flames they only got the line to melt on the spool it was so hot.

Saw about 2 minutes of it - when they were trying to drive through a slalem course on a bare steel rim with no tyre fitted.

Changed channels pretty quickly - can't stand this pair of idiots.

Top Gear was a much better show to watch ................
    Cheers .........

Didn't see the show, but remember the Bush Mechanics series on SBS of the aboriginal mechanical ingenuity fame? Stuffing the tyre with spinifex.

Top Gear (the pommy one) is at least entertaining - as was Mrs Brown's Boys last night. Can't say that I've ever found the other show in the same category.

I also remember seeing the "Bush Mechanics" show that stallie mentioned, though I didn't see all of them. That was also entertaining (and factual too).
    Cheers .........

Some of the stuff in the first series was legendary (but don't try it yourself at home ). I don't think the second series was as good.
