    It works really well but adds an appreciable amount of weight and is considerably more difficult to work with - hard to do the tunnel with something that rigid.
    Also, unless you’re stealing it, it is incredibly expensive.

    I've used a piece of belt as a floor mat for the second row of seats in a station wagon. It's been there almost 20 years (the original mat lasted about 5 minutes) - absolutely bomb proof. Don't know if it does anything for the noise though, probably not.
