You could always do exactly what you have just done and start a thread in the general section about your ad in the markets section.

Although I'm pretty sure you're not ment to do that.

I've edited the thread to remove references to the advert. This will allow others to read it and see what will happen when they post about an advert in the markets.

All right Ron! You still haven't answered my original question. Is there a way of doing this or do I have to wait for others to look in the appropriate forum? Jim

People who use the 'New Posts' function will see you have placed an add in the 'Markets Place'.

You can also place it on eBay (or whatever) then put an alert in the 'Market Alerts'. What else do you want?

You pretty much have your answer as my post that had a description of the item was (rightly) deleted - I did put a fairly blatant plug in for your item, which is not allowed. Ron is being more than fair leaving this thread running to see where it goes, he could have deleted it completely.

The markets is the only place really, you will have to rely on people's curiosity now to go looking for it, and I'm betting a few have, so this thread has probably actually worked as intended...

I think the only other way is to put it on gumtree or similar then link it under market place alerts, but really you shouldnt do that. anyone who is looking for something will find what you have.I know not everyone does but I am sure most search new posts(i do) and then they will see it.
