Currently have a 3 door discovery, at 6foot6 the seating position isn't ideal and am hoping to lower my seating height (driver only).
Has anyone cut a section from the tilting mechanism and rewelded it to do this? Would it be possible? Or is there a seat with not such a high base that I can easily bolt in. I would prefer to keep the tilting mechanism for access.

It is a 96 model if that decides my options.
