    Unhappy RIP Gizmo

My poor little old man made his last trip to the vet last night, after surviving the mistreatment before we got him and a 3m fall earlier this year his quality of life was non existent.
He had a good life with us for nearly 14 years.
Deaf, blind and losing his bladder/bowel control he went down hill fast in the last 18 months and he wouldnt even leave his bed to wee sleeping for at least 23hrs a day. But now he is sharing the bed of his best buddy ( our staffy x that died 6 years ago ) and is at peace.

Here he is just 2 years ago and how i will remember him.

Poor Gizmo. Its devastating that such grand creatures can not stay with us or stay for longer. I think they do their best. I'm so sorry to hear this news, its heart wrenching. Take care.
    Cheers

He was my little mate, wouldnt let anyone else near him and was quite content to just next to me or with his bum on my foot.
His favourite trick was sitting up on his bum in a begging fashion when he wanted attention.
Our other dog Lucy (staffy /lab x ) is looking a bit lost at the moment .

    Hey loanrangie.
Sorry to hear of the passing of little Gizmo. We have a little Maltese, Buffy, she has just turned 15. She is tone deaf, but when it comes to food, she is like a puppy again. She just waddles around the yard now and her eyes are smokey, but she is happy. Hopefully she will just go peacefully in her sleep. They really get under your skin, don't they? All we can do is give them the best life we can, and that is what comforts you when they are gone.
    Regards
    Robbo
