Always wave at other defenders, even if I'm driving the work hilux, and that usually brings some quizzical looks.

Whether I wave at others is a bit dependent on where I am. Around the suburbs usually don't bother (defenders excluded) as 95% of the time there is no response. Out of the city gets better, out in the bush everyone gets a quick wave.

That would explain why you didn't wave back at me twice, once in the old D2, and once in the D4, although you were in the work vehicle on the second wave

I've seen you a few times

I do it almost automatically now, index finger flicks up as soon as I register it's an LR.
I got a wave from this fellow, immaculate RRC. Only Rangie I've ever gotten a wave from.

Brisbane to Rockhampton, 8 waves thrown out to Discos, Defenders and 1 Rangie....... No returns

50 km's out of Rocky I was feeling desperate and considered waving to some Landcruisers, but common sense took over, and I chose just to deal with the rejection, perhaps tomorrow will send a wave my way.

If nothing else I am a source of humor, and receiver of ridicule for the family.

It has also been declared to all that there will be a celebration of the most embarrassing magnitude when I receive my first wave.........they have been warned .

Keep throwing them waves out people, particularly if you are in the Rocky to Bowen stretch, I don't know if I can take another day of rejection.

Heaps of return waves in both Tassie and SA, enthusiastically from Series and Defenders, more restrained from others. Frequency of waves fell off as we got closer to major capitals (Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide) but almost 100% when north of Port Augusta....

I wave to all landys from my classic, lots of late waves from defenders, discos are harder to get a wave out of, other classics give the best return rate.
lots of returned waves in the defender, but the most in the series (lots from other makes that i can only assume have a landy in the shed).

The overall tally as at today, 13 waves delivered, 1 returned. The whole car was well aware that a wave had been received.

And in the defence of one driver he was intently digging pixie dust from his nose, so I have marked him as unable to respond as he was previously engaged.
