As these are small in size, there's an airfreight option for £170, half the quote the triumph clubshop have had. I'll call them tomorrow I think to see how that worksI don't mind going out to Tullamarine if necessary
Items arriving that are less than $1000 have an abbreviated clearance routine, that I found on the Customs website, meaning you can quite easily do the customs clearing yourself.
In my case, I'll have to go collect from the port on arrival, but that's no great hardship.

Got a D1 head +extras from Turner's last week - 3 days delivered to door, 100 pounds for 25kg (DHL)
.... I though it was pretty good service
I find DHL very good and reasonable cost, they even deliver on Sundays and Public holidays ie ANZAC day.
Allan
just be careful with DHL. Do a search about them sending out crazy customs inspection charges. They sent me one, I called up and they said they would wave the cost on that occasion, then they sent me the bill again. I didnt pay.
I think it's a scam and it's definatly DHL doing it.
Happy Days.

[QUOTE=87County;1915958]what extras did you get included ? the cost steps for extra weight are quite big
... are you sure it wasn't 175 AUD ?[/QUOTE
I just opened the invoice 155 pounds for 31 kg. I'm sure the website tallied 175. It is a TD5 Cyl head too.
