Here is an old thread and pretty sure 130man is still active. Try sending him a PM.

    Try a PM to '130man' - I'm pretty sure he's a member of nroc.

Just reinforcing your post Simon - Actually I didn't notice the thread had progressed to page 2 so missed your response.

Actually in vicinity of your old stamping grounds ATM. Paddled 12.6km up Wallamba River and tributaries this afternoon - quite pleasant with sun setting on dead calm waters.

Hope you and the family are well and settled in on the south island, probably with a nice fire going tonight I guess.

I was a member for a short time back in the early 80's. Quite an active LR membership at that time.

I remember going with the club to the Alan Howarth (spelling?) reserve. A camp site out in the bush near Glouster on land donated to the club by a former member. Wonder what happened to that.

Times change - they always will. Sad to hear the club exists in name only now.

Hey everyone, bit of a bump here, I'm based in Newy and looking to join a club. The feedback on NLRO club being bereft of Land Rovers is current- I've been in touch with them and was told they have a handful of LRs out of 130 members. Have seen reference to the Newcastle Rover Owner's Club on here, but haven't been able to find anything online. Any info would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Pete
