DBA make a very good product.

The street series are a direct OEM replacement. They aren't the cheapest but DBA products are top notch.

dba086 is the vented front rotor, dba088 is solid rear for 1990 onwards RRC.

Beware numbers with suffixes: the part without is the straight oem replacement. The "S" suffix gets you the 4x4 T2 slotted variants which are fantastic but have a fairly hefty premium.

Not sure about Classic disks, but for the L322 it was half the price by importing them, even with air freight added to the price.

I sell both DBA and Protex disks at work and as far as i know DBA are made (cast) in Asia as most are and then machined here. They have not been made here for close to 2 years. Bendix pads are also made OS. Not here as many think.
There is a big price difference between the two brands of disks. Near on triple!
I use the Protex disks and pads on all of my vehicles with no problem.
I am not convinced in slotted rotors for 4x4's. I know they are supposed to keep the disk clean by removing mud and such but i am not convinced.

How long a set of pads and disks can last is a big variable.

You need to take into account the weight of the vehicle, the condition of the calipers, auto or manual and intended use, as well as general road conditions. Also, dont forget the driver. They make the biggest difference! Everyone drives differently. How many people gear down in their auto's?
Tyres make a huge difference. If you run oversize tyres your braking is reduced. ie you need more pressure on the pedal for the same performance as std tyres. Extra pressure is extra heat and friction.
This can vary between mud tyres and road tyres.

Someone doing metro only will use the brakes more often than someone doing country.

I can give you a price on the two, but seeing as your on the other side of the country the freight would be a killer.

Brakes are cheaper than gearboxes and engines in my books, only gearing down if the brakes might otherwise be in danger of overheating.

That'll be the pads. I try to stick to genuine pads on all my vehicles for noise/glazing reasons.

Rotors are either good or they'll warp early. Generic rotors on my Nissan cars have only stayed straight for ~10,000km (3 sets, 2 cars). But generic rotors on my classic rangie have been perfectly fine.
