Indeed some Freelanders owners show how it's done in the ruff stuff wth the tuff trucks!

Oh touche...I can't argue with that one. My specialty is sticking short arsed wheels in ruts that are too deep.

I bought my first Rangie when I was a member of the Toyota LC Club.

I got sick of the continual rubbishing by other members because I drove a Land Rover so I joined the LROC.

    Don't jinx it!!

Interestingly though its the only car that I've ever driven up on that rock (further than pictured) that has done it with the CDL unlocked and no TC. That's out of a D1 with no sway bars, a D1 with sway bars, a D2 and an 80 series cruiser.

Ah! I was thinking about the LC club, just so I had people to show up but I can imagine there would be some narrow mindedness going on in that camp.

Well there must be a V8 D2 that gets 6l/100km somewhere in Sydney because Mike takes his Freelander everywhere, Vic high country tours or weekend fun trips!

Thanks Mark I've taken the Freelander everywhere that I've taken my Jeep. I had to put a locker in the Jeep so it could keep up with the Freelander. I have to admit, the underside of the Freelander looks like a war zone though...

By the way, I belong to the Subaru & Recreational 4wd Club. It meets at Ermington monthly and does a trip every year with The Land Rover club. As a club it's really good, plenty of trips (day, weekend or extended), nice people, a big range of cars from vanilla Subarus to tricked up Land Cruisers. Very friendly.
