Good Sat morning out for some!

Just got back from a good morning run on my new 32" bighorns great day great tires.

Wanted to ask the guys that I met on the track today
Navara ftw btw I know I know.. ya not going to live that one down bud!

    2 x Disco 2's (1 high and dry / 1 full of mud now!)
    Puma
    my 88 classic diesel
    and a Navara 3.0
    Oh and a Zukki

Ya make it home ok? great meeting you guys look forward to another run as a group

Had to do some track side mods to my fenders as the 32's bite a bit on the guards but only just (nip and tuck tomorrow)

    Cheers
    Steve

    You guys get any pic's?

Hows the VM motor holding out , they dont have a good reputation for longevity.

Only done 3000k's on it new car to me

Longevity comes down to maintenance imo pre/and scheduled
Touch wood so far so good tho but I did 4 new heads (head on the car were cracked from a overheat from previous owner) Also new head stud's the arp kind and a new cooling system before rego Been great since
Installed a 52mm boost gauge and she is down on factory 14psi to a mild 9 pound so I have a new waste gate actuator from some of my other cars that I will install tomorrow and get her back on track or a little better

All in all a noisy little 4 banger but typical for its age and to me just seems like little thing's so far.
I love turning spanners so it ain't no trouble

    Needs a tub...

    Ciao

Good to hear, i believe the jeep fitted VM was a better motor.
Have you done camel cut to the rear guards , that will clear the 32's.

Flared the front's 1" and bent the inner guard in for now Sunday job for the saber saw

Jeep VM motor is the same bottom end, single head and piston's were the increase from 2.4 to 2.5 large recess in the crown for better combustion and displacement

Next motor when this dies will be something strange I am sure that's just me I guess

I was really thinking more along the lines of a yanma

Something like a 4LH-STE 4 cylinder 230hp have a mate with lots of yanmar gear, and VERY reliable!

    See I am twisted!
