She Thought It Was A Land-Rover

My wife came home from the shops, (or shop, to be accurate), and was very happy and said that she'd gotten me a present while she was out. What special thing could she have possibly found at the little supermarket? Milk with a long expiry date? A cucumber without mouldy bits? No, it was a magazine, and she said, "It's got two of your favourite things - camp cooking and Land-Rovers!"

The poor dear, she thought Roothy's heap o'poo was a green Landie. Emergency remedial education has since taken place.

Mind you, the recipes aren't too bad, especially if you can ignore the embarrassing American spelling and typos and screechy advertising everywhere.

The recipe he's enjoying on the cover pic appears to be "throw up in your own plate and eat it".

I feel sorry for you......your wife is obviously prone to impulse buying.
    Cheers

Not at all. I think the burner leaked metho during storage. You even agreed that was the most likely cause.

Just curious, but did she also buy a tin of (historically) Australias favorite chocolate drink powder due to subliminal suggestion?

If you don't know, Roothys mid wheel base cruiser is named 'Milo', due to its killrust colour ; ))

Yes, a tin of Roothy's own brand, which tastes like beer when mixed with milk.
