Unhappy Evil Bay a big tease

It is like a moth to a flame with E Bay. You know you should stay away from the light but you are drawn to it. I once owned a one off Dyna 4wd truck. Was a great gadget, but needed a lot more like power steering. Low and behold on E bay at the moment is a Dyna of the same mid nineteen seventy` s vintage in real good condition. It is only a couple of suburbs away. Yes I now admit I strayed onto E bay truck sales in a moment of weakness Was just looking at the winch I have in mind. Then I weakened and had a sneaky peek at the truck sales. Dam and there it was. They make a great forward control four wheel drive. Would be a great project. Dam you Evil bay

About 5 years ago one of the ladies at work complained to the boss ( in a feeble attempt at brown nosing) that she needed more work as otherwise she "wandered" to Ebay & it was costing her money..
It took the IT Dept about 20 minutes to have it barred for everyone. Boy was she popular - at least until she resigned...

I spend equal amounts of time loving and hating eBay.

Sometimes you get some absolute bargains, like yesterday where I won 12 LED bulbs to replace some halogen bulbs in the kitchen lights. Came to $1.

And last night, a pair of genuine Mercedes bonnet gas lift struts. $5.50 instead of the dealer price of $57 each.

But on the flip side, there's the dishonest ones who blatantly lie, or set out to defraud.

Either way, it has the capacity to surprise.

Geelong Differential Services built a 4WD Dyna and later a 6WD from it - think it ran a 350 Chev, T400, Land Cruiser transfer case and front end (tubed and laminated) and two 9" Ford rear diffs. That was in the mid-80s.
