    Light bar mounting

    Hi guy

I have a question on mounting a 24 inch light bar.

Where it would normally mount on my ARB bar I have my 2 way arial so I was thinking of just using a clamp to mount it on the bar the problem is if centred it is actually right where the tongues are welded on.

So my question is do you think it would be a bad idea do drill a hole through the top bar so that I can mount the light bar brackets?

    Cheers in advance.

I mounted mine off a couple of clamp on aerial brackets, had to place it slightly off centre though due to the HF mount, it's a 21" so you'll have a bit more of a problem. I'd try and avoid drilling the bar if at all possible.

    Cheers bushie

My mounts are on the sides not on a sled like yours.

Maybe I should have looked a bit harder before I bought it.

I ran a piece of 30x30 rhs between the mounts with a notch cut out to 'sleeve the UHF aerial mounts. Then a bolt at one end, and the UHF aerial bolt at the other and you have mounting at any point between the aerial tabs.

    Cheers
