Ron, we had the same thing happen. Jamie sent a complaint off to youtube about 6 weeks ago and still nothing.

The guy was passing off several videos of ours as his own and was collecting money from them.

We have a watermark of sorts on some of our vids, but I don't think that will stop them.

So, Ron, yes you can prevent people from downloading youtube videos.

There's plenty of youtube download software out there, which bypasses youtube controls.

Such conversions are actually my preferred way: download now, watch later at my convenience. These downloads become effectively a podcast. Internet connections aren't always possible - flying, train tunnels etc.
