Thread: Sitting doing nothing

It is amazing how many people sit doing nothing. About 4 years ago I signed up to facebook, and never went any further. Today I reactivated and found about 10 friends waiting to join so I did that. Within 5 minutes all had replied so what were they all doing? Sitting doing nothing staring at their screen waiting for something to happen. Jim

I post on it about once every 2 months. Great for keeping up with the guys in my team at work as they all live off it, people post way too much about their very personal lives at times.

As for sitting doing nothing, it might be the almighty scourge called smart phones, someone makes a post, all the phones beep, all the people in my area spend the next five minutes flicking their thumbs over the gloss glass panes in the palm of their hand.

It could have been easier if good old Tim down the end desk simply announced "hey guys check out this new gadget I just bought from aliexpress!" and we all had a chat, rather than 6 people all huddled over their phones in silence.

All too hard for me!
