Finally, an old time ASHES contest. I don't really care who wins, as long as the cricket is well played. Best game for a long time, not over yet, you beauty, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Agree Bob. It's only day two, and already we've had two good bowling performances, and a 'hang in there and get the team back in the chase' batting performance from Haddin and Johnson.

    It's always compulsive viewing.

As someone said "That was the worst Test batting since...................yesterday!"

Agreed. It's good to see some good test cricket again. It is by far the best form of the game, and it is in danger of being changed forever by the short and hit and giggle form. Looking forward to a great contest.

It will also **** the missus off something chronic that I'll be watching it every chance I get.

Been working from home today, so have had the cricket on in the background all day. Not sure if I'll be able to get away with working from home for every other weekday though.

I certainly prefer test cricket to ODI or T20. At least SWMBO will sit and watch T20 with me though.

Well, after today's effort by the Aussie bowlers, I have become interested in the test match.

I'm in deep **** because of the Test.
The "Light of My Life" went to an all day fancy cooking class (yum yum) yesterday while Muggins here was supposed to complete several allocated tasks around the property.
Unfortunately, for me anyway, I came down with "Justonemoreoveritis" & was subsequently confined to a comfy chair, quite close to the well stocked Engel medicine cabinet, watching the telly out on the deck.
My popularity at present has waned more than poor old Watto's!

so apparently Ritchie and Bill are both aiming to be back for the boxing day test.
Ritchie is out due to a car crash and Bill is helping to look after his wife who is apparently quite ill.

    Question

I barrack for the Poms,....being an old Pom myself.
However, if they have been calling for a reduction & control of sledging & the number of bouncers, well that is an absolute joke, & a sure sign to the Aussies that they are "worried"?
    Pickles.
