When I was poorer I had a "financial planning system" on the mantlepiece. There was a folder of bills, earliest due date to the front. Now I generally pay the bills as they come in, can't forget them.
Staggered bills work better on a low income stream, you pay one from each payday. Many companies offer more frequent smaller payment options for this reason.
Then there's Telstra, all my comms bills have been combined into one. A total of 5 different items paid all at once, because I can manage.
