    just got back from a scavenger hunt and ended up with a pair of pork pie(late s1) tailights, some 'z' lugs for the bonnet, s2 instrument panel and air filter with carby elbow. So not too bad

    I too am terrible at soldering, having tried it all of 4 or 5 times, had the same problem as Eevo.
    Then again, I got the iron and the solder for like $10 so that may have contributed to it
    I think I got bored and ended up stabbing the roll of solder with the hot iron....
    I have a better one now, being taught how to use it properly

    A dab of flux on the end of the wire, then apply the hot iron and the solder to the end of the wire at the same time. Will take only half a second to do.
