Yep tools are dangerous,
Angle Grinder: was polishing a car in my younger days with a large angle grinder with wool buff pad and the cord got around the pad and it also caught my hand and the tighten on my had and was crushing it, it happened in a split second, the cord got cut and this stopped as the cable got cut through, all in mileseconds.
Drills: drilled through my had once with a high speed bitdidn't realise until there was blood coming out of the other side of my hand also.
Hammer: was fixing a iron roof and tried to hammer a gal roofing nail in and hit my knuckle, not once but twice in succession.
Saftey boots,: walked over a 3" nail and it pierced the sole, and stuck in foot, had to pry it off.
Gum boots:, in my young days worked at a job and swept up glass from broken bottles on a production line, as I lifted the bin they use to discard the glass, the bottom of the bin fell off and it's contents naturally filled my gum boot
Spanner: one let go on a tough nut and knocked me in the forehead and nose, the force I was outing on that nut nearly knocked me out cold.
Cars: When I was 18, was coming back through Dalby Qld, missed the turnoff to Moonee, so found a dirt road ( Kupan Flood Bypass road) was doinf 70 kph in the wee hours 3.am the country is dead flat, there was a hairpin bend, without and warning signs and I along with my sleeping mate did the Griswells trip to Walley World and ran straight of the road, whilst sliding on the ground on the drivers side door and stopped upside down, mate slept through it, I had to wake him to tell him not to unclip his seat belt too quick as he was hanging upside down.
As you can see I'm a safe bloke, so anyone for a trip??![]()
