    NAZI V2 Rocket in Sydney.

I was going through sorting some images for the SME Museum and a series of photos intrigued me.

It was a number of images of a WWII NAZI German V2 rocket being dismounted from display in the grounds of the SME in Moorebank and being relocated to an alternate location in what appeared to be a public park. Probably in the Liverpool area.

Does anyone know of this piece of WWII history and does it still exist?

    That would make sense.

Shows you how long it has been since I've been to the AWM!

May be in the Treloar Annex in Mitchell? This is only open to the public on the odd occasion, possibly once a year. It has a lot of interesting stuff including a nice display of Landies! I may have some pics on my computer, I shall post them if i can find them!

I believe they used the skeletons of most of them as playground equipment. I used to play in one in Box Hill as a kid after WW2.

    Hmmm

I rather think those ones would have let all the rocket fuel out!
