Looks nice and the fuel economy down to 11lt/100km is not bad for a big car and good power.

So we are going to call this a Disco 5 even though it is still a basic Disco 3 with a few improvements.
REMLR 243
2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6
1977 FC 101
1976 Jaguar XJ12C
1973 Haflinger AP700
1971 Jaguar V12 E-Type Series 3 Roadster
1957 Series 1 88"
1957 Series 1 88" Station Wagon
It will be a D4a
A D4 with a few more improvements.....
We have been seriously looking at getting a V8 LR4 but decided to hold off until sometime next year and see what the new updates bring, but if they introduce the SC V6 I am guessing they will drop the V8 entirely which will be a shame.
The 8 speed auto would be nice but it looks as though we might have to get one earlier than planned and get one of the last of the current V8's.
Our market out here in Dubai is a little different to back home in OZ where we only pay around 55-60 c/p/ltr for premium unleaded so I would much rather have the proven fairly reliable 5.0lt V8 over a newer high tech SC V6 where fuel consumption is not a real bigger factor in our car or engine choice.
It will be interesting to see if they leave the V8 in place in the States as we normally get similar offerings to the Yanks.
Not that I'm complaining but how long can the D3 body stay in production? It will soon be 10 years old.
Me thinks they need a completely new Disco very soon, simply changing head and tail lights won't cut it and seriously who wants a supercharged six? Ask Holden how popular they were out here compared to the V8.
Cheers,
Terry

Depends on your point of view.
When you consider that the RRS is really only a Disco anyway with a yuppie body thrown on it, for a lot more money.
I compared both, and for what I need, the Disco is a much more practical vehicle, especially when it comes to the amount of room in the back. Most (not all) of the RRS's that I see around here (and there are a lot of them) are driven by the soccer mums picking up the kids from school. With one or two notable exceptions, I rarely see one outside of the "upmarket" suburbs in Perth, and certainly not off the black stuff.
If I really wanted a Range Rover, I'd buy a Range Rover (or maybe an Evoque).![]()
Cheers .........
