Hi Erich and Sheila, great to hear the trip is going well - looking foward to seeing your usual top class pictures.
cheers
Sheila & I are presently spending a few days touring Turkey and yesterday on the way from the airport into Istanbul passed three impressive looking Defenders fully rigged with "Globe Trotters" written across the front. Didn't have time to get the camera out to take a pic though.
There are plenty of Landrovers here, and even more in Scotland, lots of shorties. Landrovers are definitely the favorite 4wd's in Scotland & England. Took a few pics which we will post when we get home.
We are presently in Eceabat after a very full and fascinating day touring around Gallipoli. Looking around ANZAC cove and Lone Pine was very, very moving.

Erich, and here I thinking your were up North, I didn't know you were that far north and east.
cheers, Mario
Hey, you're not far from where I am, some 970 Km, I am inviting you for some off-roading in Lebanon in my Defender.
Enjoy Turkey, its a great place. We stayed at Ecebat as well a few years ago.
Yes, some of the scenery is outstanding, and the ancient ruins we have seen so far were amazing and we have more to see in the next couple of days before heading back to Istanbul on Wednesday. The people are so very friendly and obliging...and the food ......great.
Cheers, Erich
sounds like a great trip, where are you heading next in the uk?.![]()
After Germany, we are taking the train from Zurich to Paris, then the Eurorail to London where we collect a car. Heading out to Sailsbury then Gloucester and then to Wales to visit Sheila's cousin. After that back to Halifax to collect Sheila's Dad (who has been staying/travelling in England with his niece, visiting relatives etc).
Then off to Singapore for three nights so Dad can get his body clock back to Aussie time (he is almost 89).
Erich
