    Current UK postage/freight

No names no pack drill, but I was just quoted £55 freight for something that weighs 200g or so and the actual measurements are 65mm x around 100mm.
Boxed dimensions are obviously larger, and it's just a lump of aluminium, it isn't fragile.

    I'm still a little

I've had this happen the odd time over the years. I just get them to find another way to send it or I find another supplier. The cluey ones will know what they're doing for overseas sales, otherwise some sellers just seem to go with the first quote they get. Royal Airmail has always worked well for me and doesn't cost as much as your quote. Whew!

I'm getting 4kg of things from the UK for 59.99 GBP, going through Fedex.

Rick, you may have been quoted the minimum amount.

I wanted some tailgate chains. One fellow quoted £35 for a courier. When I suggested he try Royal Mail, begrudgingly he revised his quote to £25. I bought from another supplier who posted them for £10.40.
Some of the UK types just don't want to do business outside the UK.

Well when you consider I've got an auto, transfer case casing, torque converter and other assorted tfr internals coming for less than 300 dollars air freight. Or the winch, set of tree straps and extension straps and spare motor for less than 200 dollars, also air freight. Yes it's excessive.

Who's your freight company, Paddocks wanted $150 freight for a $158 MM Alternator, some of the quotes for frieght/postage are ridiculous, just got a small item from the USA cost $32 AUD but $27 AUD for frieght, also $22 postage for item the size of a matchbox and took 19 days, Regards Frank.

I believe it's coming TNT Air. Dave Bowyer (winch) and Dave Ashcroft (auto) are organising it for me. It's their regular int. freight service. They won't ship via surface.

How did you go with your auto issues?
