I've found that reflections back off road signs don't seem to be as bad as with normal driving lights, don't know why that would be, but my impression, maybe different light colour relects differently (NFI).
As an aside saw a set of LED driving lights (spot) over the weekend and was most impressed.

they were a set from one of the chain parts places (autopro etc) and around the $200 mark, available on ebay cheaper but he needed them within a couple of days.

Led lightbar

Not quite the performance as the Jaycar ones but about a quarter of the price. They also come in flood.

Would be interesting to compare the jaycars to the arb's, the price is much better:) led lights are just getting better and better
I currently have one spot and one flood fitted.
I am unable to fit another spot LED light as Jaycar have sold out for a few months until they get more stock.
I am camping away down at Bendeathra next weekend.
I will try out what I have fitted.
I found another two LED lights so I now have my set of two spot and two flood.
Impressive is the word to describe the performance.
I cannot wait for the weekend to test them in the real world.

I was at the local 4WD club meeting the other night and they are saying in NSW 4bys are now being pulled over and suspension/wheels etc are being checked.
The other thing people are getting pinged on is light bars.
They suppost to be not legal ????????.
Two driving lights OK, but no more unless they are fog lights.
Two of my LED lights may have to go ???????
Each LED spot light has 7 LEDS.
That makes 28 LEDs.
I noticed the light bars have similar numbers of LEDs in total.
With the four lights I can turn the lights exactly where I want them and control the reach and spread.........I am guessing you cannot do that with a light bar ?????
The other thing is grouping the LEDs in a round circle on the spot beams I am guessing again ,is giving a better light reach than a light bar.
Damn this thread, i have been procrastinating about putting a pair of IPF's i have in the shed on and now i want LED's !
Yep, if your NSW regs are the same as WA.
The LED lightbar is deemed to be ONE lamp/luminaire/light producing thingy.
Current law is for a TWO light producing thingies, mounted equidistant from the vehicle centre-line and not above the the headlamps.
- Gotta look symmetrical, like the headlights. (Used to be permitted ONE spotty mounted CENTRAL....Not now.)
Solution would be TWO light bars....
Or, only a suggestion, take out the middle LEDs, so that it appears to be TWO light-producing thingies, mounted in the ONE housing.
Don't start me on "Fog Lights".......:twisted::twisted:
