Kiwis just play that much better off the Wobblies errors, what was cooper thinking with the short kick off and then the try wasting non pass near the end...?

One game at a time, it wasn't so much they won, as we gave the game to them on a plate. Forget the score, there were two All Blacks who stood out, Cruden & McCaw. Hooper proved once again he can match it with the best. Cruden was the best on the field, but do you remember his first Test? Absolute shocker, they hooked him from the field early, Toomua can take heart from that. I saw enough to suggest you fair weather supporters may once again eat your words, but not just yet. Bob

I believe this game is the 100th win by the All Blacks against the Wallabies. One teams milestone, another teams millstone. Good to see the Wallabies turn up to play though. Edge of the seat stuff at times.

It'll be a cracker next week... do you guys realise Wellington and the top of the South island has been shaken quite severely with earthquakes lately (Links here and here). 21st July (I think) and then again this Friday, 6.5 in July and a 6.6 on Friday. Heaps of damage in the top of the south (Rural townships of Ward and Seddon) nearest the where the epicentres are (Cook Strait in July and on the Mainland this Friday). Westpac stadium is being checked by engineers as we talk and there is confidence the game will go ahead but there is a few damaged buildings in Wellington also.

Lets hope the shakes stay confined to the Aussie coaches (and Quade).

Usual Kiwi penalties....well .... maybe one day that wont be part of their strategy....

As usual the Kiwis were unforgiving when there were errors...that why they are right up the top of the game....but I saw lots of potential in the Aussies tonight.

Everything you say is right. The stats say we should have won, 60% possession, won on rucks and mauls etc but we made too many mistakes. They did have good passages of play but, as usual, they could not translate them to points. Same thing happened against the Lions.

I guess, to be honest, it is more about how good the All Blacks are - they turn their opposition inside out making them look worse than what they are.

I played the game for over 30yrs as a tight head prop and retired in 2011. In that time the ARU tried many different ideas with the scrum rules. Some were good but most were bad in many ways. A lot of the rules were decided on by liability lawyers or Brylcreem haired backs in some office far away from the rugby field.
I think that Mckenzie will sought this lot out in due course but for now the front row will keep getting their heads shoved up their arses. It's been that way for a while and will continue to do so until whoever the tight head on the day decides to grow some Burrahs and lead the pack in hard at the scrum engagement.

Grow some Burrahs boys and have a real go.

I've seen how the general public in NZ turn on their team, when they start losing [ 2003 World cup, anyone ? ] and I've seen how wannabes cling to winners, hoping to get some reflected glory [ these same people probably have England supporters flags in their cupboard, or Lions flags, so they can have a bet each way] Aussie supporters stick, thick or thin, all I ask is, none of you wannabes start supporting the Wallabies when they are again on top, we don't need you.
