    Aussie......Aussie....Aussie.....

Well it's official....... we became "Australian Citizen's" last night as we attended the long awaited ceremony

    Thanks Australia

It was a very friendly fun packed evening and was nothing like we expected I was quite amazed how many people from different countries were in attendance taking the pledge. Although now on the electoral register we won't get to vote this year as the paperwork won't go through in time.

    That's great. Welcome to Oz.
I know what you mean about the ceremonies. I've been to several in the last two years to support people taking the oath and it's always a great time.
One new citizen - an ex-refugee - told me recently it was the first time in his life he'd ever felt he 'belonged' anywhere.
What I see is that new citizens are often very keen to work hard and make new lives, and that's good for the country.

    WELCOME!!!

I love seeing these posts, it wasn't so long ago that I got my citizenship. just had a trip back to Europe and was so proud to use my Aussie passport.

Still support England in the Cricket though. Can't seem to shift that allegiance.
