Thread: Dead Isuzu.

Overheating, either through cooling system issues or excessive fuelling. These engines are reasonably robust, not the best from Isuzu but not as bad as some. We recently had to replace one where the vehicle had been run without an airfilter...even the turbocharger intake blades were abraded away

It was still running, but had very little compression

so it was overheated then?

I say thrashed witin inches of its life.They all do it it finally it said no more.
Happend at the end of a long straight,I suspect held flat in 3rd and 4th.
They dont deserve decent gear
Im off to the city tommorow to take the broken mulching head of the excavator for repairs.
Get to take our new Isuzu crew cab truck,it goes really well,only 1500km on the clock.Has the DMax running gear,vnt turbo 6 speed.Im told it does 150kmh with ease
As I say some of them dont deserve decent gear

the best way to deal with toerags like that is make them pay for the machinery they break. the hip pocket is a great place to hurt them

I've often thought that providing a worker with his or her own vehicle, and them contributing to paying for it through their pay each week would help them look after it. After all, it would be 'theirs' eventually.

Pretty hard to police and instigate like you said I guess most of the offenders weren't smacked enough when they were kids

Modify the accelerator setup so they only have 1/2 travel before they get the vehicle. Hard to kill an engine if you can't drive over 2000 rpm...
