It's hard to see scratches for the brush marks!

I'll save you the trouble. The paint looks better the further away you get.

ahh yes that was much easier!

That looks pretty good from a distance. My paint job looks ok from a distance too....

I am going to have to sleep on it. I can't start on the car yet anyway but just want to start making plans on what I'm going to do with it.

Just get it running and in good condition then, think about paint Depending on year, Camino Gold or Barhama Gold would be the original colours

Sorry I think you said Green underneath the red, so above isn't relevant

PO says the rings on no1 are had-it. I want to shove in the 2.25D I have in the shed. I was thinking of pulling the body off to give the chassis a birthday. It's solid but there are places that need some loving. SO while it's apart I would prefer to do a proper job on it. Plus it's supposed to be my project car.... you know time waster/fun toy when I finally get it going.

On that note has anyone seen/used this:

Hoods : 88 Mesh Top Full Kit

No not seen this, very handy in the hot weather, not good when it rains though I just roll my sides up when the weather is good

Taking the canvas off gives it a whole new world to series driving

Yea that's what I figured.... I can't wait to get her out and go for a drive! I recon it'll be soooooooo much fun! Hopefully the Diesel will give good/decent fuel economy, then I can use her for a daily drive!

I'd love to get a 200tdi for my 88.... but I live in mackay and there doesnt' seem to be many around here... and plus I have a limited budget... especially since I spent $2000 on the car

The 2.25D I have here is in need of a rebuild. Maybe I should look into a new engine instead.....

O, I know!!! I could sell my trombone to buy an engine! Anyone want to buy a Rath R3F, it's realllllllly reallllly nice, $4000. :P
