Still on the sublect of telly

I watch the evening news on seven each day and I have noticed recently an add for what appears to be a song contest. Fair enough but I have no idea whats being said as I mute the sound when the adds come on.
They show what must be the judges bench, now, sitting at the bench there is this rodeo clown in full getup. This probably adds some colour but surely it would be fairer to the contestents if they had someone legitimate passing judgement ?

That is the type of program that I absolutely detest. X Factor and all of it's clones, (and especially Big Brother) are the "look at me" type of trash made for semi-talented fools to aspire to getting on, and for brain dead zombies to watch.

You might be a bit kind in your opinion of these "shows". Audio visual torture .Now each to their own choice but with all the cross promotion and such they aren't really entertainment but full length advertisements. The producers and ad men must be wringing their hands in glee. I am thankfull for my foresight to keep a few interesting movies and show on record or my music library.

It seems to me that the shows' audience demographics are mid-teens.

Yes, I doubt if the viewer of those shows would watch "The first tuesdäy book club" on the ABC for instance. Which I would not miss.
I can imagine what their school grades would have been but if I had to vote yay or nay on these things I would abstain because what other people do is none of my business.
I learnt the other day that there is such a thing as slow language. This is where speech slows down to keep pace with the brain. I never realised that before but it explains why people constantly use the word "yeah " between and at the end of very short sentences and why they cant go on with it when caught out in an interview situation.
I might just be a cultural snob and it might explain why I have difficulty socialising but please, I am not asking you to vote on it.

    Cheers, I think.

REDFOO. Never watched the show but with the ad blitz that surrounds the show I always wondered who the clown guy was.
