successful home mechanicing....
How good is it??!!! I had a crack at working on my d2 tonight. I replaced the rear suspension airbags. Its a first for me on the disco, and anything air suspension related. I have a question tho....when i removed the old bags, there was an original LR bag on the right and an after market bag on the left. Short of financial reasons, why would you only replace one and not the other?? I replaced both so its not a worry for me. But seeing the old 'odd' pair got me wondering.

The aftermarket air bag may have replaced an original because it may have been punctured or damaged, not necessarily worn out, Regards Frank.

Disco_goose, good work! After working on the suspension yourself it doesn't seem so daunting!
While I agree with Frank, I do own a P38 and have seen many past repairs on mine over the years where you can see the previous owner was a budget conscious driver. I have 4 air springs on mine, the one that popped on me while out bush was (you guessed it) - the only one that hadn't been replaced! As with you, I replaced the lot.
Keep up the home mechanicing!
Cheers
Keithy
