Inversion Tables - Who uses one?

After a visit to a couple of physios, and a set of x-rays later, I have been urged to aquire an inversion table........... quickly.

Spine has a major injury, curvature left/right and front/back. and twisted about 50 degrees, facing out the side of my body. Spurs developing on vertebrae, pevis twisted and compressed.......... and the list goes on.

Anyone else have/use an inversion table, and are there any pitfalls to look out for when selecting one?

    Cheers.

    G'Day Mate.
I have one permanantly set up in the lounge.
Don't use it often enough but.
Price ranges drastically as you have probably found out.
    Tips:
Make sure all the pivot points and catches are locked in before you tip yourself.
Shorten the tilt limiting strap more then you think it should be. It doesn't take much to go from not enough to helpI'mstuckgetmeupnow!
Until you get decent ROM/ strength back, make sure someone is nearby to assist if something goes wrong.
Start slowly, a few minutes/ degrees tilt at a time until you get used to the increased blood pressure in the head. Pressure headaches suck!
Even the exxy ones (~$500) will pay for themselves with savings from the Chiro/ Physio and Quality of life.
    Cheers, BDave.

    nubax trio

i have both an inversion table and the nubax, the nubax is more effective for me and each to their own , don't get head pain from it , just tingly fingers.

I'm not a physio, and I'm not trying to overrule your physio, but I too have a back that's rotten with arthritis. My most effective self help exercise is a 40 min walk. I know everyone's problem is different and one man's cure etc, but my physio reckons walking is tops for doing it yourself, and experience has shown it to be true in my case.
    Don.

On my feet for about 12 hours a day, so I should be able to squeeze in another 40 mins.
