Yep,,
There's a lot of cars I really like,,, and of those, some more than others,, but nothing will replace or out-do the feelings I get when in the Defender.
I'm so glad I bought mine when I did![]()

There is a article in the new Overlander Mag which is all about the defender and why after living with it for a week you will fall in love with them , and understand why the have such a big following.
And basically to the jap off road owners ,don't knock them until you have lived with them for a week.

They just work. Mine is a forever car and I'm building it back to almost new for planned long trips when our son is old enough to appreciate them, or at least remember and appreciate when he's older![]()

We pulled up next to a new 90 yesterday in the city at a set of lights,, had a couple of car spaces between us and the car in front,,, had a quick conversation, then took off
Try doing that in anything but a Landy![]()
I'm torn between keeping mine and rebuilding it as needed, or saving for one of the last new ones in two years.

I have both, a 9 seat 109 Stage 1 and a Tdi Defender and I cannot pick one as my fav.
The 109 Stage 1 with tropical roof was a classic IMO and the only thing missing on it was a power stirring![]()
I've got 2 cars that always make me smile when I drive them. My 110 and my old 911. Both classics in 2 completely different genres.
I have a 1992 200 Tdi and have just bought a 2008 Puma 130.
I think I shed a few tears when I sell the Red Terror. We have clocked up a few trips and adventures in her.
Just love those Defenders
