Thread: 4WD system comparison

A Subaru may have good traction control but it also only has 28" wheels and only around 200 Bert Newtons of torque. Therefore it will get stuck in a lot of places an open diff Discovery would have no trouble with. Add traction control or diff locks to the Disco and it's no contest.

Without taking away from the topic at hand, I rekon it'd be a good idea to take a standard P38 and standard Disco 1/2 for a side-by-side comparison off road! Mine gets driven through all the hard low range tracks and I'm yet to be shown up when the wheels come off the ground!

The P38 in that clip has 2 issues - a driver that has no idea how to ease on the throttle, and by the looks of it, a non working ABS/traction control system!

    They are a fantastic 4wd!
