Thread: Employment Search Engines

Hello All,

I am starting to trickle feed back into looking for work as I get closer to wrapping up my university studies over the next couple of months.

Apart from Seek.com.au - which seems to love posting umpteen duplicates of the very same job, which is really annoying; what other employment search engines do people use and are happy with?

It would be good if the engine has a "Not" keyword capability As in "Qualitative Research Not Market". The search would be pitched at a professional level by the way.

Seek has its limitations, as you have found! I'd suggest you get yourself onto Linkedin, which is hosting more and more senior professional job ads. Depending on the sector you are in there are also specialist sites such as e-financial.

Thank you for the tip about Linkedin, I am already a member however I did stop looking at their job ad site a while ago because it seemed pretty limited - maybe it has improved since my last visit.

My field is within social research - mixed methodology, admittedly with a preference towards qualitative. Health, policy and stakeholder engagement are big interest areas I have extensive experience in as well.
