    Monster truck kills 8

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUrksn735sI][HQ/FULL] Monster Truck Crashes Into Crowd At Mexican Air Show In Chihuahua - YouTube[/ame]

This is sad at this Monster truck event in Mexico I think the guy jumping his truck apparently landed and hit his head knocking himself out

and then proceeded to plough in to a crowd of spectators killing 8 people......

Sad for all involved I think

Much like the good ole days of rallying where spectators used to stand on the edge of dangerous corners waiting to take photos and wave

in saying that though would a safety fence done anything in an argument with a monster truck?? I dont reckon it would it sounded like he was full throtle and I would of imagined just ploughed straight over any barrier there I would of thought

Very sad indeed. Possibly another one to sway the authorities over there that nanny state policies in some areas are actually good.

They are charging the driver with manslaughter - not really his fault - more the promoter owner of the grounds fault.

Duty of care and all that.

Apart from the crowd being maybe too close to the action there is very very little that duty of care and safety fencing (A dubious feature against a monster truck anyway) would have done to protect them It appears a freak accident which will happen now and then and no nanny state crap will work then Im afraid .
We are talking a country that routinely has mass shootings from drug cartels too.
Motor sport is dangerous, probably more so to spectators than drivers over the years! And yes I have been driving events where they hang over fencing at track edge Gives you the hebey Jebies!
